Individuals who need medical assistance can apply for North Carolina Health Choice (NCHC) or Medicaid in Jackson County, NC. The public health insurance program, Medicaid, offers support with medical expenses for low-income families with children, disabled adults, and seniors. NCHC provides health coverage for uninsured kids when the family income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
