Medicaid & Health Choice

Medicaid provides assistance with medical expenses for low-income families with children, disabled adults, and the elderly.

North Carolina Health Choice (NCHC) for Children provides medical assistance for uninsured children when the family income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. If your family makes too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but too little to afford rising health insurance premiums, your child(ren) may qualify for NCHC.
